This site logs visits. There is no advertising here, and the data is not sold.

What is recorded

  • Your IP address, and the approximate location and network Cloudflare works out from it.
  • Your browser and device: browser version, screen size, language, time zone, and a browser fingerprint made with FingerprintJS, which can recognise the same browser after its cookies are cleared.
  • A visitor id, kept in a cookie and in your browser's local storage.
  • The pages you open and the page that sent you here. Links I share carry a short code, like ?s=tg, that says where I shared them. The code is recorded with your visit and then taken out of the address bar.
  • The pop-ups you open and how long each one stays open, the videos you play, how far down a page you scroll, and how long the page is in front of you.
  • Documents I publish under /p/ are logged the same way, along with which document it was and how far into it you read, counted by its headings. A link I send to one person carries a code, like ?r=k3m9x2pd, so I can see that they opened it. The code is recorded with the visit and taken out of the address bar.
  • If you comment on a document: the name you give, your email if you add one (only I see it), what you wrote, and which part of the document it was about. Your browser keeps your name, email and any unsent comment so you do not have to type them again.
  • If I leave you a note on a document and you answer it: your voice recording or what you wrote, the name on your link if I sent you one, and which part of the document you were reading when you started. The microphone is on only while you record, only after your browser has asked you, and only on a document whose note takes voice. Only I can listen to the recordings, and deleting the note deletes them. For twenty seconds after sending you can take a message back, and I get no notification about it until those twenty seconds are up.
  • If you submit a form on a published page: the fields you send, such as handles and public wallet addresses, and the submission time rounded down to the minute. Answers are private, stored per page in Cloudflare D1 on this site’s account, and kept until deleted. Deletion removes answers from the live database; Cloudflare D1 Time Travel may retain deleted rows for up to 30 days. The page publisher and the site owner can read, export and delete them. A service holding a page reader key can read and export answers on that one page. Reader-key API requests record the credential ID, requested page, action, row count, IP address and a user agent truncated to 512 characters in the private audit trail; they do not copy answer content into that trail. Form answers are not added to public comments. IP addresses are used transiently to limit attempts (IPv6 is grouped by /64). Requests to the form endpoint, including accidental GET query strings, are excluded from our D1 visit log. Cloudflare Workers Logs retains application messages. Automatic invocation logs and traces are disabled, and query strings are redacted, to keep request headers and bearer credentials out of new automatic records. Older invocation records may remain under the account’s retention settings. Exact submission times are kept separately for the 60-second rolling limiter, then removed on new submissions or an every-minute cleanup (normally within two minutes; scheduler delays can extend this). That temporary window links to answer IDs. Rounded minutes, answer order and provider logs can still allow correlation, and older invocation records may contain accidental query strings. Visits to the page itself are still logged, so timing may allow an operator to infer a connection; forms are private, not anonymous. Every saved submission must pass Cloudflare Turnstile to check for automated submissions. Refusal totals and storage warnings contain no IPs or answers.
  • A session replay: a recording of the page as you saw it, with scrolling, clicks and mouse movement. Whatever you type into a form field is masked in your browser and never leaves it as part of the recording.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page views and load times.

Where it goes

Everything is stored with Cloudflare, on this site's own account. I can read it. A page publisher can also read the form answers submitted on their own pages.
